Angry Things Not Getting Fixed?

I travelled LH F two weeks ago and F was sold out (8/8) and the left-side toilet wasn’t working. So 8 pax sharing one loo.

No apology, no gesture to make up for it but .... can happen.

Two weeks later, I am flying on the same flight and the left side toilet is not working. Spoke to the P2 and toilet is not working for 14 days and it wasn’t the same aircraft I travelled on 2 weeks ago.

Has anyone observed similar issues?

747-8 a few weeks ago: No water for the sink in the left toilet. They put bottled water in there
346 last week: soap dispsender in the left toilet INOP. They put a little milk can with soap in there.
On the last few flights: almost every flight had at least one seat with some issues, fortunately they were able to fix them.
Significanly more issues than pre-Covid.

I may have been on the same 346 with the soap dispenser INOP. Wasn’t an issue - but shouldn’t this get fixed rapidly?

Complete list of malfunctions on my flight today:

Left-hand toilet inoperable
Cooling system for beverages in F galley faulty
Coffee Maschine doesn’t work in F galley
Airshow didn’t work the whole flight

I asked the captain to come to my seat and assure me in person that the wings will hold till Frankfurt… He appeared confident. 90 minutes left, fingers crossed!

Does this mean the crew has to serve the customers instead of having extended coffee chats in the galley? That's just awful!

Cabin interiors are written up and taken care of in the next longer down time. One LHT guy who runs outstations once mentioned in a podcast that cabin defects are very low on the priority list to fix during ground time (the German term he used was 'das fällt bei uns unter die Rubrik 'Schöner Wohnen'') so they are scheduled to be fixed during the next A or S check. S checks take half a day and are due for A346/B748 every 7 days. A checks are done every 700 flight hours, so about every 6 weeks. So if its a bigger fix, you will see such inop stickered interiors flying around for atleast a week.

The summer schedule is operating with next to no reserve aircraft especially for the A346 B744 & B748. I doubt anyone would take aircraft out and cancel flights so that the F toilet and coffee maker can get fixed.

Same experience here. I did not have a flight this year where not something was broken or missing.
I had broken toilets many times (but FA's reserving C toilet to the annoyance of the C passengers - embarrassing actually), but also:
- no remote control for the entertainment system (so inop)
- seat not moving, could only be adjusted by hand by several people
- espresso machine in both F and C cabin not working
- coffee machine burning (literally on fire)
- oven burning and therefore needed to be shut down (with cabin smelling)
- doors inoperable
- ac broken or roaring
- light switch broken so cabin light on full throughout night flight
- things not loaded (cutlery, amenity kits, sleeper suits, food, water......)

And yes, you start wondering what other maintenance issues they forget to do.....
Lufthansa, winner in the race to the bottom

None of this has anything to do with flight safety at all. - Obviously.
Failing or inoperable electrical systems and appliances are - as everyone knows - flying in their own world, where they can never cause any danger to anyone or anything.
There's a manual to be followed, and there's a circuit breaker - so why worry or use the head, or why even bother at all?

LH is playing with fire.

As First Class passenger pls complain directly.
I had 3 out of 4 flights in a 747-8 with hardware problems.
On one flight to SIN
1 toilet blocked-non funktional
Seat was was not always working properly-needed 2 times assistance from the FA and finally a kind of "reset".
For both I got a compensation of 2K milles after complaining on the flight from the purser.
Flight back from SIN
again problems with my seat 2 K -only adjustable with manual assistance
No wifi and inflight enterainment with sound problems with the headset.
Complained -got a 5k miles voucher. from purser.
Flight from LAX
My seat did not work at all-1A.
I was reseated in 3A which worked.. But here the screen was not properly working with artefacts only.
Complained and was offered a bottle of champagne to carry home.. Refused it due to security gate issues.
Got 2k miles voucher instead.

Wow, 2,000 miles is derisory. BA (for their many faults), hand out miles like candy; I think a broken seat in F is something like 25K miles, or possibly more.

About 6 weeks ago, in one of the F lavatories of D-ABYU, there was a lot of in-op-tape around the faucet and hand sanitizer was provided instead...

About 1.5 weeks ago, seat 1A could not be adjusted electrically on D-ABYS.

About 1 week ago, the left F lavatory on D-ABYO had to be closed since it did not flush anymore (I was explained that I could, however, use it to change my clothes since the floor was only a little wet. I preferred to wait for the right lavatory to become available...).

(In general, the light at least in the right F lavatories on 74H appears to flicker/loose intensity when water is taken from the faucet.)
